Sizes that fit your customer

Imagine you are out shopping at your favorite boutique. The scent of cinnamon and vanilla faintly fills the air from a new seasonal candle on a table near the back. The rustic floorboards creak as you walk between the racks of new arrivals. You reach out and feel the different fabrics as you make your way further into the store.

A burgundy jacket catches your eye. You reach out and flip through the rack in search of your size. Not there. You ask the friendly shopkeeper if they have any other sizes in the back. She checks in the back room and even hops up into the front window display to check the burgundy jacket on one of the mannequins.

“Unfortunately, we do not have it in your size”, she says. You leave with nothing but disappointment.

This is not the experience I want for you or your customers.

I’m here to help you create fashion that fits your customer, lifestyle, and values and a big part of fitting your customer is offering sizes that your customer fits. That’s why I don’t just offer these Graded Spec Chart Templates in a few sizes. I want to make size-inclusivity more attainable for your brand.

For each Graded Spec Chart Template, you get to choose from:

Sizes XXS-XXL (which correspond roughly to US women’s sizes 00-18/20)

Sizes 1X-6X (which correspond roughly to US women’s sizes 16/18W-38W)

…Or use both so you can offer your designs in more sizes!

I often get asked if these templates work for petite or tall sizes. The answer is yes! The template formulas assume that the customer’s height remains the same across all sizes. That means that as long as the sample you measure for the base size is petite or tall fit, your other sizes will be too.

Do you have questions about sizing and which template is right for your brand? Hit reply and ask away. I’m always happy to help you get the best fit for your business and for women of all sizes!
