Fauxgerty is a contemporary womenswear brand “invested in creating ethical clothing that looks as good as it feels”. I was the patternmaker and technical designer for their flattering and versatile dresses. As a brand focused on cruelty-free and socially conscious clothing, they used deadstock (leftover) fabric for all of their dresses. The changing availability and subtle differences in deadstock added an extra challenge to the development of the styles to make sure the patterns and construction could be executed successfully in fabrics of slightly varying qualities.
